| Experience: | I have worked on air at a variety of radio stations. Covered the annual Sydney to Hobart yacht race for Fairfax Radio - 2UE, 3AW, 4BC, 6PR = exciting accurate round the clock coverage from Sydney Harbour's colourful start, to the sprint up the Derwent. Was a finalist in recent media awards for this. Indeed this year's will be my 11th (& I don't even sail!) Used to be on the 'speaking circuit' with a presentation 'Sound As Good As You Look.' This helped corporates to think on their tongue & make better use of their unique sound! I love bringing words to life in front of the cat (no one else in my voice booth) and have done so professionally since 1988; on hold, on air, on line. I was even a dog (dorg) once, having a surname Barker, probably helped me to win that one! I am the voice of Travelodge - Aust & NZ, Medina Apartment Hotels & Vibe Hotels across Australia. When a building is about to burn, my alarmed (!) voice will tell you through Brooks Australia's warning systems. Then there's Wilson Parking, RACT and when he was PM, mine was the voice you heard in John Howard's office! Plenty more - speaking is my life! | |
